As a design + build firm, there is a lot of planning that happens before we pick up a hammer and start swinging. We believe in transparency, accountability, and top-notch customer service - and it all starts with thoughtful planning that takes into account your unique needs. Everyone is different. We pride ourselves in working with our customers, not for them. Our designs are timeless because we take into account your personal preferences, and not cookie cutter HGTV fads.

Estimate

Every Cincy Design-Build project starts with a great plan. It’s important to us that you fully understand the costs and time involved in your remodeling project. It leads to a smoother project for all involved. We offer free estimates and design consultations so you know how the project will unfold before we start working. Our estimates are firm, there are no surprises or price adjustments throughout the project. We do allow flexibility within the project timelines for material changes and edits, but these are always done with the utmost transparency and done in a way that makes both sides accountable. We want you to feel confident that your project will progress according to plan.

Bid Approval

Before the project starts, It’s important that the following steps are followed to make sure we are all on the same page:

  1. Bid presentation

    • The bid is presented in person, and set up in a way that is clear and easily understandable. Precise timelines and draw deadlines are laid out clearly.

  2. Deposit

    • There are a whole lot of upfront costs associated with a proper design-build project. There are typically costs incurred in bidding the project, mostly to compensate our designers, subcontractors, and staff for their time. There are also costs associated with filing the correct permits, ordering that unique material, or bringing in the right people to make sure that your project is done safely. Deposit amounts range from 20-50% of the total project cost and must be paid at the signing of the bid.

  3. Project Checklist

    • At this time we do another walkthrough to make sure that everything is ready for your project to start. We want to hit the ground running, and we need a careful plan to do that. We make sure that the space is ready for work, and that means furniture is safely moved, any artwork or other valuables are protected, and any other personal items are cleared from the space. We’d hate to damage your favorite rug!

The Project

We plan our projects in a way that minimizes the impact on your families quality time. Paint takes time to dry, tile takes time to set, but we take all of this into account in the planning process so that there is minimal disruption. Projects can be loud, messy, and complicated, but we pride ourselves in making this process as smooth as possible.

End of Project

At the end of the project, we do a full walkthrough to make sure that every facet has been completed to your absolute satisfaction. We pride ourselves in creating comfortable, livable, and practical spaces for our customers, and we won’t close the book on your remodeling project until you’re ready. When you are fully satisfied, both parties agree in writing that the project outcomes are complete, and the final draw is paid in full.
